Jani Lane, Bret Michaels, Joey C. Jones

Dallas, Tx 1984: Brothers Chris and Laine Sheridan joined forces with long-time friend Joey C. Jones and drummer Randy St. John set out to create one of the biggest, baddest and greatest rock bands ever--SWEET SAVAGE!

Over the next 5 years they toured the U.S., playing over 1200 shows in 25 states. Their self-titled EP stayed for 16 weeks at the #1 spot on the European charts, outranking bands like Poison, Cinderella and Bon Jovi. Over 30,000 copies were sold without the help from a record label. At the time, Sweet Savage were all but guaranteed to be successful. They were one of the biggest local draws in L.A., plus they were big enough to tour the U.S., a feat very few bands were able to do.

Opportunity finally came knocking when Enigma Records wanted to sign the band, but the boys in Sweet Savage turned down the record deal. Enigma then made an offer to L.A. glam band, Poison, who signed with the label and went on to sell millions of records.

Unfortunately, the band broke up in 1989. Many in the world may never know "what might have been" had they stayed together.

The mp3 album from Sweet Savage includes all five tracks from the EP (produced by Dana Strum), as well as studio demos, a rehearsal session and a sampling of what the band was best known for - their live shows.
